Friday Fill-In # 7

My goodness...it's been over a year since I've participated in Friday Fill-Ins....and probably nearly a year since I've participated in any meme at all! But here goes...

And...here we go!



1. We need a little Christmas...but not until after Thanksgiving!
2. I just heard my baby coo and it made me smile.
3. If you want something, the only way to get it is through hard work.
4. I am only awake right now because perversely, I'm sick and can't sleep.
5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think that the government often seems more willing to find more opportunities to tax, instead of more opportunities to save money.
6. A well-planned schedule makes for a happy holiday.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to resting, tomorrow my plans include finishing work on our dining room remodel and Sunday, I want to clean house before our Thanksgiving guests arrive from out of town!

Friday Fill In # 6

Hi, folks! It's been a long week, hasn't it? Two weeks ago, I traveled for work and then rushed to PA when my father passed away. A week ago, we buried Dad and then came back to Texas to try to get back into the swing of things. And so this week was my first full week of work in quite some time and it's left me exhausted! Thankfully, my boss allowed me to work from home today, so I've been just humming along on a few projects in my peaceful and quiet house. Now...time for a lunch break and this week's Friday Fill Ins!

1. Dancing to the radio while cleaning my house makes me smile.

2. The last time I went to the beach I nearly refused to leave.

3. When I drive I fly like a bat out of hell.

4. I saw Frankie Avalon standing by an elevator in an Atlantic City casino once.

5. Give me a pillow, give me a dark room, give me sleep.

6. Next week I am looking forward to presenting my project and transition plans for maternity leave.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to getting a lot of writing and organizing done, tomorrow my plans include hanging out with unexpected houseguests and Sunday, I want to get a really big hug before I drop my husband off at the airport as he leaves to go visit his niece and nephew!

1. If I could be a fly on the wall I would have a lot of places I'd like to visit to get good scoops!
2. Jealousy is irrational.
3. When I see a shooting star my wish would be that my baby is born healthy.
4. I'd rather be at the beach than anywhere else any day!
5. Certain songs when I hear them make me wanna dance.
6. If time were in a bottle it'd be quite pricey to sell.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to finishing upstairs closet organization and designing my new bathroom floor and cutting my husband's hair, tomorrow my plans include a visit from Patti, potentially starting work on my new bathroom floor and other items from my insane to-do list, and Sunday, I want to go to church, relax, and evaluate the status of remaining projects!

Janet has some great questions posted this week over at Friday Fill Ins - and although I'm late out the gate, here are my responses for this week!

1. Learning how to fly is high up on my bucket list.
   I'm an ignoramus - I had to look up what a bucket list was. If anyone else is wondering, it's a list of things to do before you die.
2. My favorite quote is "The sole earthly judge of right and wrong is success."; it's from Adolf Hitler - and fortunately, history has proven him wrong.
3. Patti Ann Colt and Kelly McCrady inspired me to start blogging.
4. Strawberries are best with whipped cream.
   Which is why I had that as part of my breakfast today!
5. I was shooting people in the last dream I remember having.
   I think I have rage issues.
6. The most enjoyable time to go for a walk is in the early evening.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to plenty of down time after a really hectic week, tomorrow my plans include writing and flooring, and Sunday, I want to go to church and relax with my husband!

It's been awhile since I've tried something new, so this week I headed over to the Friday Fill In meme, hosted by my bloggy buddy Janet.
